Welcome to the wild side of Cooley Farms, meet the Bengals!! What is a Bengal you ask? Bengals are a hybrid originally mixed with an Asian Leopard Cat as far back as 1889 though at that time it did not progress past a few generations. Much later in 1970 breeding these hybrids was resumed and in 1983 the breed was accepted by TICA. The wild blood in these cats gives them a unique coat that is dense, glittery and looks like something you would see in the wild. Although the breed has been around for decades and we are now breeding several generations from the wild blood you will still see higher levels of energy and playfulness as well as a higher prey drive than you see in other domestic cats.
