Cooley Farms

          We are a small family owned business tucked away in Rural Athens Co in Southeastern Ohio. We live on a 160 acre farm with lots of room for our fur babies to run and play. We love animals of all kinds.

      Our mission is to give our babies personalized care in a loving home. Our puppies and kittens are hand raised from day one. We do not try to replace mama but we want all our babies to comfortable with humans. As they progress toward being weaned they are held and played with on a daily basis. Once weaned they remain in the home with us until they join you in yours. As a result your baby arrives well socialized and the transition from our home to yours is much smoother.

               My name is Judie Cooley (last name is Hand now), my sister and I were raised on a farm here in Southeastern Ohio. We have worked with animals all our lives. Our dad was a dog breeder, he bred hunting dogs and trained them to hunt. I have two girls 16 and 13 and Sarah (my sister) has one boy that is 13 our children help in training our puppies and kittens, making treats and toys, and entertaining the adults.. My niece, Kayla, is now married and no longer living with us. However, we do keep her updated on all the animals and she comes and stays with them while we are out of town. Sarah is our resident French Bulldog puppy caretaker and is without question the best in the business. My husband does all the hard stuff, he fixes the drains, makes sure the heating and cooling work at all times so our fur babies are comfortable, if we lose power he's out there with the generator making sure everything can still run, he lifts the heavy stuff for us, he builds cat trees and shelves and anything else we ask him too, he makes the long trips with us for deliveries so we don't have to go alone. Other than my nephew he is the only man that works with us and we are so grateful we have him.

              A little background on our breeding experience. I started breeding Labradors back in 2006 then in 2013 I started breeding French Bulldogs and Bengal cats. For a few years I worked with one of the best bulldog breeders in the world, in that time I learned a lot. For instance I learned about DNA, health and color testing, and health of bulldogs. It didn't take me long to fall in love with English Bulldogs and once I met French Bulldogs there was no going back. Another thing I learned was that I never wanted to risk losing that love and I never wanted to be so big that I didn't get to spend time with my animals personally. I keep my breeding program small so we can completely focus on quality, health and happiness of our babies. After 17 years of trial and error we now have a breeding program that I am very proud of we have some truly stellar pedigrees in Labradors, French Bulldogs and Bengals.
